I purchased a 2006 Pontiac Vibe. My mechanic determined that there were a couple maintenance issues that needed attention and one of the fog lamps was busted. I was able to negotiate a fair price on the car with cash back on my trade-in to fix the Vibe's issues.
Overall, I was happy with the purchase, but have had some issues getting my check for the trade-in. I was told at the time of purchase that I'd get the check the following week. When I hadn't received it two weeks after purchase, I contacted my sales rep, Victor Harris. He said that it had been cut that morning. I assumed it was being mailed. When I hadn't received it almost a week later, I called Victor back. He said I was to pick it up, which I found odd since I live about 20 miles from the dealership. I asked if they could mail it and he said he'd check on Monday (today) and would call me. He didn't call, so I called him. He said he was out of town, but had asked someone to follow-up with me. He said he'd call them and would get back to me in 5-10 minutes. He never called back. After 45 minutes of waiting, I called and spoke with Kathy in the title department. She said the check had NOT been cut, but she'd get it taken care of and mailed tomorrow morning. I hope that it does indeed get mailed tomorrow. To be continued....
